Andrew Sherry, who heads online communications for the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC, has a background in both international journalism and online business development.
He joined the center from USA TODAY, where his roles included deputy managing editor for online news and director of online ventures.
He has been working online since 1999, when he joined the executive team of a Hong Kong-based start-up that deployed broadband Internet and information services to business travelers in nine countries.
That followed more than a dozen years in international journalism, based mainly in Asia but also in the Middle East and Europe. As politics & policy editor of the Far Eastern Economic Review he worked on stories from across the region, including editing ground-breaking investigative reports out of Cambodia.
Sherry is a graduate of Haverford College. This weblog reflects his personal views, and not those of his employer.
